Welcome to Roxbury General online.  Here we offer unique goods that reflect the best of the Catskills and country living. Some of the products originate here in the mountains and some are things that we’ve found helpful, fun, or interesting in our ongoing adventure as two former Brooklynites  -- Robin and Doug – now living happily here full time with our doggie Cookie Dammit (a lovely pup with issues) in Roxbury in the Catskills.

You may have visited our brick-and-mortar store on Main Street in Roxbury, NY. We loved the store and our customers and the products we carried there in our 11-year run.  We sold the building, but wanted to continue our enterprise online in order to offer many of our customer favorites as well as new finds.

Our background is in publishing and before moving up to Roxbury full-time, our retail experience was limited to the buying part. Robin is an artist and uses her creative side to find fun, beautiful, and useful things you might want. Doug’s background is management and focuses on the business side of things. We’ve been together for eons and over the years have had several businesses, so working together is not a new experience but this is by far the best and most fun business thing we have ever done.
